Instead of a bunch of short, linear, derivative levels, the entire game is one pretty large map with different styled areas. You can travel between areas as you wish to collect the 777 coins and five crystal gems. The simple controls feel great and the 8bit graphics work wonders for the small-yet-large scope of this engaging and endearing treat from Pixeljam. These guys seriously know what they want to do and do it perfectly.. This is a very short but very enjoyable little game. It takes place in one giant level and the only requirement is that you walk right until you get to the door at the end. However, you can also collect all the coins in each location and find items to unlock a separate door for a different ending. The real stars of the game are the extremely tight, satisfying controls and the charming presentation. The game's spritwork and color pallette appear to be evoking ZX Spectrum games, but they have a lot of personality and give the game a unique feel along with the excellent 8-bit soundtrack. This game is just a joy to play through from beginning to end and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone who likes platformers.. Takes about an hour to get all three endings and then there's no more reason to play the game unless you speedrun.. Im a little torn here because on one hand, the game is colourful, controls really well and is incredibly good fun. The problem however is that the game is incredibly short, my playtime being just shy of an hour and thats with getting all three endings and collecting every single thing the game has to offer.Despite that, i'll put this under the thumbs up pile as I guess its better to be bright and fun for a short time, then to be a long boring slog.. This was a really fun platformer with a nice theme. It was challenging but not impossible and has different endings if you collect all the coins, which is most of the game really. It's short at around 3 and a half hours to complete everything but I reall enjoyed every moment... This is a very cute game starring a little dinosaur named Rex. The controls are easy to understand, and there are flags to save your progress everywhere so it's not too stressful. Definitely worth the purchase for a fun little distraction.
